As everyone who has tried to play the saxophone knows, apparently repairing one is very difficult. This why I’m so happy to have a repair man like Peter Jessen in town. Peter has repaired my horns since I came back to Copenhagen in 93 after 12 years in New York. 

Peters experience and the meticulousness in his overhauls makes them last for a very long time with a minimum of adjustments. I play a lot and my horns really gets used! Still his repairs last a lot longer than I expect! For me personally Peters experience as an instrument maker ( GMezzo, mouthpieces etc.) has also been a benefit. He has made a new A key on my Tenorsax as the old one kept getting out of whack, and he has improved intonation on two on my Barytones with excellent results. He has also repaired my Clarinets and low Flutes, as fine as his saxophone work. 

Peter is himself a fine musician, and perhaps this, along with his many years of experience is what lifts his feeling for how a horn should be fixed up to the highest level.
