Throughout my career I have followed Peter Jessens work and used him as a guide and technician when it was about my saxophones. It was Peter who called me and said, - Thomas I think there’s a saxophone you’d like.

I was at the time playing a Selmer SAII that Bob Rockwell had chosen at the factory in France. I was happy with it, but still I felt it wasn’t my horn. I tried the one Peter had suggested and had to agree. The King Super 20 in my hands sang like no other saxophone I’d ever tried. I still play it, now twenty years later.

Peters feel for saxophones go way back to school. He was a grade above me at Bernadotte school and was playing the sax and he was already interested in the workings of the instrument as well. He has been sought by saxophonists from all over the world, and the greatest names has benefited from his solutions to problems. Through the times he has helped many players with acute problems before concerts or on tour.

When my saxophones have been through Peter Jessens hands, they are truly “gilded” by magic hands that knows the hidden secrets and finesses of the saxophone. I am deeply grateful for having a great instrument maker where I live.
