THE MAKING

From the original concept, with which he was graciously helped by Instrument inventor Benedikt Eppelsheim in Munich, three prototypes had to be made before the instrument was right.

Peter made this work in his spare time while working as a repairer and musician. In a makeshift basement workshop, he hammered, annealed, cut, turned, soldered, filed and fitted, and it was here the first Mezzo's were made.

Every G Mezzo is made by hand, from brass sheet to finished instrument.

Today Peter has two workshops in Copenhagen. One in Valby where he exclusively makes the G Mezzo and other handmade saxophone products, and another in the center of Copenhagen where he does repair work and has his primary customer contact.

Today it is possible for him to produce a G Mezzo Soprano Saxophone in 4-5 month
