Instrumentmaker Peter Jessen has for more than 20 years serviced my saxophones at the highest international level. His vast insight and virtuosity on the instrument compare only to his professional pride, a combination that always insures a formidable result.
Apart from this he is an unusual nice person who always goes to the task with joy and musicality. And finally he is also inventive and curious which is seen in his development of excellent mouthpieces and necks, but perhaps foremost in the incredible G Mezzo soprano sax of which I was so lucky to follow the development of close up and also be the first to own and play.
This instrument is an unsurpassed example of an instrumentmaker who in the finest way stand on the shoulders of history and at the same time dares to look forward, develop and invent.
Any musician working within Peter Jessens instrumental area, will undoubtedly have immense joy from his craftsmanship which makes it so much easier being a musician.
