THE INSTRUMENT
The G Mezzo Soprano Saxophone is conceived, developed and built by Peter Jessen in Copenhagen.
It is tuned in the key of G, placing it between Sopranosax and Altosax.
The bore of the instrument (dimensions and length of the instrument) is slenderer than on standard saxophones, giving it a dark, round timbre, close to the color found on double reed instruments.
However, it retains the flexibility, strength and dynamics of the saxophone.
